Join OC Read for a morning of crafts, games, books, and a tide pool touch tank!
OC Read Day is a showcase of literacy activities aimed at sparking a joy for learning and providing family members of all ages with an opportunity to spend quality time together. This year, attendees will be able to:
- Paint a treasure chest, recipe box, or rocks
- Sing karaoke
- Play board games
- Grab lemonade and learn about the library’s mobile kitchen, courtesy of OC Public Libraries’ Charlie Cart Committee
- Splash in a water-themed sensory bin
- Meet community partners at information tables, the UCI Gavin Herbert Eye Institute Eye Mobile and OCAPICA
- Bring home a book to build your home library*
- Encounter tide pool creatures with Traveling Tidepools**
This event is free to attend and open to all. No registration is required.
*Books to build home libraries will be available while supplies last.
**The tide pool encounter will be timed entry. First admittance is 10 AM. Last admittance will be at 11:50 AM.
