Updates on GGM construction
Body

We’re thrilled to announce that exciting changes are happening at the Garden Grove Main Library!

The library closed May 11, 2025 and the project is expected to take approximately 18-24 months.

OC Public Libraries was awarded funding from the California State Library’s Building Forward Library Facilities Improvement Program. This equity-based grant program helps pay for capital projects for public library buildings that address critical maintenance needs, improve energy efficiency and sustainability, extend digital access, and expand physical access to library facilities.

The Garden Grove Main Library is undergoing a major renovation to become a more inclusive, eco-friendly, and community-driven space. This project will improve ADA accessibility, enhance study and program areas, and refresh the layout to better serve visitors. Upgrades include energy-efficient systems, upgraded lighting, modern furnishings, fresh paint, and essential mechanical improvements—all designed with sustainability and accessibility in mind. The goal is to create a welcoming, safe environment that meets the community’s needs.

Stay tuned for updates!
