Ready to take that next step? It’s never too late to graduate!

OC Public Libraries offers individuals the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma through Career Online High School, part of the world’s first accredited national online high school district.

As part of the program, students also earn a career certificate in one of ten chosen fields and gain career readiness by preparing a resume and cover letter. Career Online High School offers individualized support from certified instructors and academic coaches who are available to assist students every step of the way. Courses are entirely web-based and provide students with the flexibility of 24/7 access to the online learning platform. Students have up to 18 months to complete the program, but it is possible to graduate faster by transferring in previously earned high school credits. Depending on how many credits are transferred, students can earn their high school diploma in as little as five months.

To be eligible for this program, applicants must:

  • Be an adult aged 19 or over
  • Be a resident of Orange County
  • Have a library account in good standing. If you do not have a library card, you may apply for one at your local  OC Public Libraries branch or complete the online Library Card Application.
