OC Public Libraries welcomes program suggestions that support our mission and enhance our services, collections and other resources.
Programs must be open to the public, free of charge to attendees, and free of commercial advertising or direct solicitation.
Please note that many presentations are done on a volunteer basis; some branch libraries have a small budget for honoraria provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Library. All presenters are required to show proof of insurance and sometimes a Federal ID number.
Proposals are chosen by the OC Public Libraries Programs Coordinator and branch staff according to the needs and interests of the community, the suitability of each library’s physical space, budget, and the program’s contribution to the library’s overall schedule of events. Indicate which branch or branches you would like to hold your program.
You will be contacted if and when we can use your program idea. Your proposal will be kept on file for 1 year after submission. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
