Press Release #3 County EOC Deactivated

SILVERADO CANYON RAIN EVENT DEACTIVATION

The evacuation advisory for the area east of 30311 Santiago Canyon has been lifted. The Orange County Emergency Operations Center, the public information hotline and the American Red Cross Shelter at the Santiago Canyon College Gymnasium have deactivated.

Evacuation Advisory for Silverado Canyon Burn Area

EVACUATION ADVISORY FOR SILVERADO CANYON BURN AREA

An evacuation advisory for the Silverado Canyon burn area has been issued by the County Executive Officer and Orange County Sheriff’s Department due to potential flooding and debris flows. The evacuation advisory is for homes east of 30311 Silverado Canyon Road.

Shelter Location for Silverado Canyon Residents

The American Red Cross will establish a shelter at 7 p.m. at the Santiago Canyon College Gymnasium at 8045 E. Chapman Ave. in Orange for those individuals affected by the Silverado Canyon evacuation advisory. Residents are reminded that animals are not allowed in the shelter, with the exception of service animals. It is recommended that residents bring their medications, if possible.
