What is CHDP?
The Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) Program is a statewide program, whose goal is to help keep children and teenagers healthy and prevent disabilities, by finding and treating health problems early.
The CHDP Program
Provides preventive health exams and immunizations to children and teens from low to moderate income families, from birth through age 18 years and for Medi-Cal eligible children from birth through 20 years of age.
Educates Orange County communities about the importance of regular preventive health care for all children, and the value of having a medical home.
Informs Orange County families about the physical health exam requirements for first graders.
